Build with CaRe and partner Region Västra Götaland exhibited at the Energy and Building Exhibition (EnBo) in Alingsås, Sweden, during the last week of April. The exhibition focused on energy efficient buildings and attracted a wide audience. It was organised within the frame of REBECEE, a European project led by Build with CaRe partner ZEBAU.

For the first time Build with CaRe was represented with its network Energie Experten on the exhibition Bremer Altbautage. More than 7 600 guests visited the exhibition and got information about insulation, modern heat technology, new windows and doors and other energy-saving possibilities in the building sector.

Experts welcome zero carbon plans |

UK: The Government is consulting on how new standards that all new homes should be zero-carbon by 2016 can be achieved. The proposals mean that buildings would have to meet minimum efficiency standards, with the remaining carbon usage offset through off-site means, meaning homes would not necessarily have to be adorned in solar power units and wind turbines. The consultation on the plans closed March 18, with experts welcoming the moves.

Build with CaRe took the opportunity to convene during the very first Northern German Passive House Conference on March 5 2009 at the Handwerkskammer in Hamburg. The conference was a great success with almost 300 participants and many exhibitors. During a special Build with CaRe session partners from the Northsea regions presented their ongoing building projects.
